Taramas (Tarama salad)

The Tarama dip (Tarama salad or Taramasalata) is made with cod roe mixed with stale bread, oil and lemon. It has a creamy texture and can be pink or white, depending on the colour of the roe. It is an excellent side dish and a prefect dip in combination with other appetizers. In Greece, it is often consumed during periods of fasting due to its dairy-free content. |
